John Furman Lee, Union soldier, was born in 1842, in Woodbridge, New Jersey, and died there in 1910. He was a sergeant with the 5th New Jersey Infantry, taken prisoner at Gettysburg, and confined in Libby Prison and Camp Parole, Maryland, before he returned to his unit in 1863. He participated in the Mine Run Campaign, and later was wounded. He left the service in fall of 1864, and married Augusta "Gussie" Coddington (1845-1913), who wrote him during the war, in 1886. ...
